The former Art Furrer Resort on the car-free Riederalp in the Aletsch Arena, a UNESCO protected area, is a renowned vacation destination. Directly behind the ridge of the resort stretches the largest glacier in the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier. Within an hour's walk, you can reach several glacier viewpoints. In summer, you can explore the glacier under supervision or take beautiful hikes with your family or group and admire the glacier from different perspectives. In winter, the Aletsch Arena offers various panorama routes with breathtaking views of the glacier and the surrounding four-thousand-meter peaks. The Aletsch Arena is known for its family-friendliness and is a perfect year-round vacation spot for families and friends.

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor of the apartment complex. The living room and balcony are bathed in sunshine due to their southern exposure. From the living room, you can enjoy a prime view of one of Europe's highest golf courses, the Breithorn and the Bättlihorn. If you play golf, we recommend taking your own clubs and playing the nine holes in the fresh mountain air. The pitching center is just a minute's walk from the apartment. Once you have practiced your swing enough and are ready for a tournament, you can reach the clubhouse and reception within 5 minutes from the apartment.

In winter, the golf course transforms into a cross-country ski trail with a ‘Liechtliweg’. Thanks to the A-location of the apartment, you are also just a few minutes from the Riederalp Mitte gondola station as well as the glacier lifts Moosfluh and Hohfluh (Ski-in / Ski-out). The ski school is located in the immediate vicinity of the apartment.

In winter, the high snow reliability and 104 km of sensationally prepared slopes make the Aletsch Arena a great choice. The slopes of Riederalp, Bettmeralp, and Fiescheralp are interconnected and offer varied skiing experiences.

In short, the Aletsch Arena is the perfect place to spend your vacation year-round. Here, you will find no cars and no stress, but unspoiled nature and endless possibilities for skiing, hiking, mountain biking, or swimming in a mountain lake. Other well-known areas like Zermatt and Saas Fee can be reached from the valley in an hour. Even without a car, there are good train and bus connections.
